Bodybuilding Bikini Competition Gear You Shouldn't Forget!

  1. Bikini storage bag
  2. Sandals, slippers or thick socks
  3. Pee funnel
  4. Loose clothes for after your tanning
  5. Something to put your legs up
  6. Gloss oil (glaze)
  7. Powerbank and Gymselfie for your phone

1. Bikini storage bag

A storage bag isn't just handy for storing your bikini, it also prevents it from getting damaged or tangled in other clothing. It would be a shame if those beautiful rhinestones got damaged, right? By using a storage bag, you can be sure your bikini stays safe and sound, always ready for your big moment on stage!

A storage bag is also practical for carrying other competition essentials, such as hair accessories, makeup, or your special competition jewelry. This way, everything is in one place, organized, and easy to find. No more stress right before the competition because you don't have everything to hand!

2. Sandals, slippers or thick, roomy socks

If you're waiting barefoot at the tanning booth, your feet will quickly get cold. This is detrimental to your blood circulation and fluid balance, and therefore to the lines in your legs. Even if you're lying on your stretcher or on the floor, you don't want your feet to get cold. Therefore, roomy slippers or thick socks are essential for a competition.

3. Funnel for urinating

Tanning protection. Handy for bodybuilding competitions. Women can use it to pee while standing, sitting, or even lying down. This silicone urinal is reusable and can be cleaned in warm, soapy water. This prevents mess and stains from your tan. You can shake the urinal dry after use without any residual drips. Disposable urinals are also available.

4. Loose clothing for after your tanning session

Loose-fitting clothing is very important after tanning. On stage, the tan always stands out because it makes your muscles stand out, and the shine enhances this effect. However, right after leaving the spray tanning booth, while you're still drying, it's inconvenient if you don't have suitable clothing.

It's best to avoid tight clothing, as it can damage your newly acquired tan and cause strange stains. Putting on your competition bikini or tight underwear right away isn't ideal either, as you often have to wait before your turn, and it's uncomfortable. Therefore, consider bringing loose-fitting clothing such as an oversized T-shirt, a long nightgown, loose underwear, and baggy sweatpants.

5. Something to put your legs up

Yes, it's time to put your legs up! As mentioned before, it's important to remove moisture from your legs. Elevating your legs helps you get rid of this moisture. If there's moisture in your legs, the contours won't be clearly visible, and you want to see lean muscle. Skipping this step is therefore not recommended. You can use a bag or small suitcase , a blanket, or a pillow for this.

6. Glaze (gloss oil)

If you haven't bought a glaze for your tan yet and no one has any, you can always purchase it at the tanning booth. However, it's essential to know that a glaze, a shiner, is essential. It's used to enhance your muscles on stage and is applied over your tan before you go on stage.

7. Powerbank and Gymselfie for your phone

A competition day can be long, with much of the time spent waiting instead of being on stage. Many of us competitors use this time to be on our phones. It's no surprise, then, that the battery drains quickly, making a power bank essential. This allows you to update your social media or keep your family and friends updated on your progress if they can't be there.

Gymselfie is super handy for filming yourself backstage and preparing at the gym. It's the perfect solution for creating professional workout videos. Say goodbye to asking for help and take full advantage of this popular sports accessory.

Gymwebshop has a special category for athletes preparing for bodybuilding competitions. The owner (Dutch Bikini Fitness Champion 2016), who previously couldn't find a suitable webshop for her own preparations, has now simplified shopping for new athletes.
