BFR tires, what are they?
What is that now?
Nowadays you see more and more fit girls with those two tight bands. Pinched.
This is called blood flow restriction training or Kaatsu training. This causes metabolic stress!
Difficult word what does this mean?
Metabolic stress is simply the build-up of waste products in your muscles after activity.
By binding your leg or arm, your body part gets little discharge of the metabolic stress, but there is a build-up. This causes high metabolic stress. (like when your muscles are being worked hard:)
Is this a must? Definitely not. Is it advisable? Like any other sports equipment, this is a personal choice and your training and goal are the determining factors.
Which muscles can you train with it?
Arms (triceps & biceps): Bind the part where your shoulder slopes towards your arm/armpit.
- Legs (hammies/quadriceps) Pinch off under your groin/under your buttock.
- Calves: Tie off just below the kneecap.
This way of training and BFR tool helps you to achieve maximum results.
Please note: Developer Sato warns that people should be careful not to pinch body parts such as arms and legs!
You will learn this after a few training sessions. Check if it is not too tight. Too loose is also not good.
How tight then?
From 1 in 10 you choose 7.
At the beginning of your workout it feels tight, at the end of your repetitions it hurts.
Make sure you don't pinch everything off and there's no blood flow at all, or it turns purple. You don't want blood clotting.
BFR bands are suitable for beginners and advanced riders.
But also for those who are recovering from an injury.
We do NOT recommend the BFR bands for patients with high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
BFR bands are suitable for healthy people who want to strengthen their arm and leg muscles.
In short:
The BFR bands cause your muscles to receive less blood compared to your normal workouts. This "less blood" is like training super hard!
Yeah, it's a kind of cheating. Nice, right?
Another word for Kaatsu, BFR training, blood flow restriction training is also occlusion training.
It is a very special experience and definitely recommended to experience this yourself. The pump that gets you bizarre!
Great for a change!
